PRESERVE OUR NEIGHBORHOODS The bedrock of Shawnee is our strong neighborhoods - that's why my family moved here! We must preserve and champion Shawnee's reputation as a great place to own a home and raise a family. SUPPORT OUR POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS Robust public safety is key to preserving our neighborhoods. We must fully fund our police and fire departments. We need to protect those who protect us! REMEMBER WHO PAYS THE BILLS Property and sales tax have crept up, the cost of living has skyrocketed, and our families and seniors are feeling the pinch. This is hurting our ability to attract new residents and keep people in Shawnee. Easing the burden on our taxpayers is a top priority! WISE STEWARDSHIP OF TAXPAYER DOLLARS With my banking experience and raising a family of six, I understand how important it is to live within a budget, make wise financial decisions, and prioritize needs over wants. The city council should do the same with your tax dollars. DEMAND STRICT SCRUTINY ON INCENTIVES FOR DEVELOPERS In recent years, a narrow majority on the City Council has repeatedly granted excessive corporate welfare to wealthy developers who made promises that were later broken. We must be judicious in the use of public incentives and always demand accountability. OTHER ISSUES Jacklynn is 100% pro-life. Jacklynn is a strong supporter of 2nd Amendment rights. PARTY AFFILIATION Jacklynn Walters is a Republican who believes in limited government, free enterprise, individual liberty, and traditional values.
